Statement
After careful reflection with my family and team about timelines and the competitive landscape, I have made the decision not to seek the Beaches – East York federal Liberal nomination at this time.
While I remain intrigued by the possibility of public service, I can’t ask my family to make the sacrifices of a campaign, or my supporters to invest time and energy in my candidacy, unless I feel I have a reasonable prospect of success. This is not that moment. Some of my fellow candidates already in the race have been campaigning for several years and have thousands of Liberals.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to the friends and neighbours who gave of themselves to support me through this experience. I remain committed to serving the public and in particular our most vulnerable. I believe this experience marks the start of my political journey, with the goal of, one day, representing the interests of my fellow constituents and influencing the future direction of our country.

Après mûre réflexion avec ma famille et mon équipe concernant les échéanciers et le contexte concurrentiel, j’ai décidé de ne pas solliciter l’investiture libérale fédérale de Beaches—East York pour le moment.
Bien que l’idée de servir l’intérêt général m’intéresse toujours, je ne demanderai pas à ma famille de consentir aux sacrifices d’une campagne, ni à mes sympathisants d’investir du temps et de l’énergie dans ma candidature, à moins d’avoir des chances raisonnables de succès. Ce n’est pas le cas aujourd’hui. Certains de mes concurrents, déjà en lice, font campagne depuis plusieurs années et comptent des milliers de sympathisants libéraux.
Je tiens à exprimer ma sincère gratitude aux amis et voisins qui m’ont apporté leur soutien durant cette période. Je demeure déterminé à servir la population, et plus particulièrement les plus vulnérables. Je crois que cette expérience marque le début de mon parcours politique, avec l’objectif de représenter un jour les intérêts de mes électeurs et d’influencer l’avenir de notre pays.
